Ah -- I didn't realize the challenges were voted on, I thought it was done by random draw. Oh well, at least I didn't do any of the projects just to enter a challenge, so not being "chosen" doesn't matter as much as if I had and then didn't like the project itself. And I did enjoy the banter and inspiration during the crop weekend. Thanks for that, and congrats to all the winners. :)

Congrats to all the winners! Thanks again for the challenges and inspiration. I too am with Carmen- didn't know it was a vote but a random draw. I'm glad I did the layouts I did.

Do you ever have (or has it been considered to have) any scrapping challenges that could be won just by putting in the effort to participate? Or is that where the RAK contests come in? I felt very discouraged tonight when I realized that the winners of ALL the challenges, not just the Queen of the Crop contest, were chosen through voting, when it's already tough to complete multiple projects in a week's time. I think if I had known going in (and maybe it's spelled out somewhere and I just missed it...) that all the challenges were also voted-on contests, I would have worked that much harder to make maybe 1 or 2 layouts (which would be my usual maximum for a weekend event) with some unique touches, and not even tried for the big prize that required completing at least 10 of the challenges, since I am a very slow scrapper and I knew the next week would not allow for scrapping time (I tried to finish one more, and even that was too much). Just an idea to consider. The crop was a great event, and I am still very glad that I participated, and I know that a lot of work and consideration was put into the challenges themselves, and no doubt the voting as well. Anyhow -- those are my thoughts, for what they're worth.

Carmen. First off thank you for feeling comfortable enough to voice your opinion. We really appreciate that you can tell us exactly how you are feeling. We are truly sorry if we didn't post that the winners were selected. We have tried to be proactive in posting when a prize is a random draw so you know. We have been running this crop for a couple years now and i think we got comfortable in knowing people know what's going on. When you are planning an event this big sometimes the little details slip through. Again we apologize. We have heard all your ideas & will take them into consideration for the next crop in the spring. Thanks again & we truly hope you have found a home in Cocoa Daisy.

Thanks for listening, Ronda. I do plan to continue hanging out here -- I really enjoyed the crop, and as Emily said, I found some new ways to tell my stories creatively, ways I wouldn't have found without the inspiration here.

Congrats to all the winners.
What I love about all the challenges is that they are that inspiring spark that get you creating. I loved seeing everyone getting involved and creating. Well done to each and everyone of you who created something.
