FALL CROP 2011: CHALLENGE 7 - STITCHED WORDS - AMY TAN

FALL CROP 2011: CHALLENGE 7 - STITCHED WORDS - AMY TAN

Postby Funky Fairy » Sat Nov 12, 2011 10:01 am

One of our favorite past guest daisy designer is Amy Tan. You can see her original fabulous gallery here. She is the talented designer behind American Craft's Amy Tangerine line which is abundant in November's Bed & Breakfast kit. Amy also operates http://www.amytangerine.com/shop which features hand embroidered tees for babies, children, and women.

Amy's Challenge: Hand Embroidery is abundant at craft fairs. it's that personal touch to a piece of art that brings it to life. My challenge is to use hand stitching as either the title or accents on the page.

Make sure you upload your layouts to the Cocoa Daisy Gallery with the Challenge Number and the title of your LO (e.g. Challenge 7 - "Pretty Darn Proud"). After you have uploaded the LO, please link to the respective Challenge thread, so we know you've completed the challenge.

You have until NOV 20th, 8pm Eastern to complete the challenges you wish to participate in. Challenge Winners will be announced later that week!

Kim's class was over the top fantastic. So much beautiful detail I can use in my own colour choice. So happy about the new techniques I am going to practise. Frances

Okay. I'm calling this one done. I loved the idea but my hand stitching is VERY homespun! :)

I love slightly messy hand-stitching!!
Great job!
I love this challenge - here's one I did...
Image
My title is a bit of a variation on the challenge. I cut out my handwriting, then stitched over it in a contrasting color to make it stand out more.
