Looks very fun! Is it wrong for me to not want to have a fun family weekend and just hole up in my scrap space instead???

it's very right. These crops are send the family out, you dress in pjs & just play

Everything has short deadlines???
I am going to a scrapping-weekend in another part of the country, with 3 classes. But scrapping other things in between....

I love online crops. Can I still play even if I'm not a kit subber??? I have a few of the stamps and I've been an avid stalker of the kits. Even encouraged my BFF to sign up. She gets the goods, and I drool.
