QOTD 9/12/2011 Fall loves

It is still summer I know but what do you like best about the fall? Being a New England girl I love the leaves changing color. Where we lived in CT. had 6 orchards with apples, pears and peaches. I loved going to the orchard to buy apples. They taste sooo much better than in the store. Conner to this day will not eat an apple here. He says they taste strange.

Oh there are just sooo many things to love about fall....

the cool crispness in the air
putting out fall decorations
pulling out warm, soft sweaters
putting an extra quilt on the bed
the changing leaves
pumpkin spice lattes

I LOVE fall!! Although my favourite season is definatley summer fall is a very close second.

What to I love about it hmmmm.... lets see

Defiantely Pumkin Spice Lattee's
The kids are back in school LOL!! (which gives me free days on my days off )
Fresh cool days where the sun is shining brightly
Snuggly comfortable clothes.
The beautiful scenery with the changing of the leaves - breathtaking here where I live....
... and not feeling so guilty about watching tv and snuggling under the blanket cause its dark outside... ( I hate being indoors when it is beautiful out - like in the summer LOL!)

Love fall

the changing colors
the apples, winter squash, pumpkins,
the cooler days and nights
sleeping under the comforter again
the 'drawing in' feeling
the end of garden chores, even tho I love them during the summer months
the resumption of quilt guild meetings and the urge to sew
the taking up of routines that have been put aside for summer
the cooking of hardy meals again - the stews and soups of shorter days and longer nights.

I can´t other than agree with what you all wrote. And for me the return of the darkness... Even though I love that the sun never goes down here during the summer months, it´s kind of nice to sleep in darkness

jumping in leaves
