Hi from Western Washington

Hi there...

just waving hello from Western Washington where mother nature is currently needing medication for her bi-polarness/depression. Our weather has been crazy here.. yesterday sunny and comfortable... today snowing and cold (no joke)...

I"m a high Home Ec teacher (although it's not called that anymore)... who loves all things crafty. I used to work at a lss before it closed last May. I met some of the coolest people there and got to have fun with helping people with their projects and scrapbooking needs while also creating samples for the store.

When i'm not crafting/creating, i love hanging out with friends, listening to music and taking pictures. Also, I love going to thrift stores (my new obsession is the Goodwill Outlet where you buy thigns by the pound) to find treasures to make my condo cute! I volunteer on a Medical Team during the summer that takes care of 22,000 people at Creation West.

It's so sad that so many of the lss have had to close down!

Snowing doesn't sound like a lot of fun... I believe spring is finally here for real (in my part of Sweden) and I would be really sad if we had to see more snow... I hope your weather improves and stabilizes...!

I'm just a ways north of you in the Okanagan Valley in BC. It's snowing here today too. Even my most winter-loving boy was sad to see it this morning. Sorry to hear about your LSS. We've had one close here but the other one is still going.

Our weather here in Southern California has been pretty strange too. Hot one day, and then chilly and gray the next. Although I kind of like it because once it gets hot here, it gets really hot.

@nickynoo... yes please do send some of that sunshine this way... the rain is horrible... i'd settle for overcast.. but sunshine would ROCK!

@helpmerhonda... they call "home ec" - Family and Consumer Sciences.... I KNOW RIGHT?! it's so long... when people ask what I teach... instead of giving them a really long explanation, i just say home ec... saves both parties alot of grief and confusion!

Off to get some scrappin done...

Loved your bit about your weather, made me smile. he description that is, not the fact that you are having lousy weather of course

And Home Ec, here in the UK is now Food Tech. I can't come to grips with that though and still find myself calling it Home Ec.

anyway - you sound very busy and energetic and have lots of interests. i share your loves of crafting and thrifting, for sure. it's nice to meet you
