Major Purge

I was blessed to attend Ranger U last week. It was simply amazing and really recharged my creative juices. I also got to come home with a huge suitcase full of supplies which prompted the title of this thread. I am in the midst of a major purge and organization process. and dude it's just that.....a PROCESS. i have cleaned two shelves and a bank of drawers. Excess supplies have gone into class supply crates. Things i don't use are being put into a garage sale box. While my two shelves (and there are ton more to go) look beautiful, the rest of the room looks like WWIII. I know there is an end in site, i just wished i had the Mary Poppins finger snap down. I admit it's a little daunting right now!!!

Which leads me into my question for you.... How often to you a) clean, b) reorganize, & c) purge your supplies. Do you do it all three at once? What is the hardest thing for you to let go?

Actually I´m in the middle of it! I got an idea to change my big table into two smaller, but longer tables last weekend. And since I´m a doer when it comes to this things ;D I bought two tables from a junk sale yesterday. SO I really needed to sort thing trough. I have no drawers now just two shelves over one of the tables. So there is a lot of stuff being put away here to... On the bright side, I can now sit with both kids by my side :D

Normally I do clean and sort out maybe every third month.

Totally concur! I need to do some serious purging. I can't even really tell what I have. It's overload.

I agree with Anna. I have a very small space but a space :) :) A lot of my things are tucked away in boxes in a closet because I need shelves to have it out. I have big plans for redesigning my space so that I can have more of my things out where I can see them. Although, I think I will make a bigger mess then. When I had my store I had an entire classroom to create in and would sometimes have crap spread out on every one of the eight long tables I had in there.......ridiculous :)

I usually clean and organize my desk after a round of projects. I haven't scrapped since the crop so tomorrow I plan on cleaning up and starting fresh!

Ronda, what are the white jars in front on 2nd shelf from the top? I have been looking for some alcohol inks I used once at a class and they looked like those but I can't remember what they were called. It was ages ago.

I did a BIG purge about 2 years ago and usually find myself "repurging" around New Years.....having said that - I think I missed this New Years purge so things are getting little unruly!

I'm also in a smaller space than my previous house so I think that actually helps me purge - I tend to expand to the space I'm given!

I love love the look of your shelves - so inspirational! I find I'm sooo much more productive when I purge and have things neat! A "purging schedule" would be helpful!

I have a smaller space too...and purge quite often. I'm in the process of doing it right now, actually. I'm putting together a bunch of boxes of a variety of supplies to sell. I have 5 boxes so far. I'm cutting back to having just the necessities.....my Cocoa Daisy kits and adhesive! lol (and punches and mists too, of course!)..

I give a lot of my things to my dds too....they are 10 and 11 and love to craft too!

La, la, la, la... I can't hear you! ;D :o

I'm a use it or lose it kinda gal, mostly. Only exception is the paper that goes to the kid's crafts (and scrapbooking!) and the school. I can't even rid myself of the masses of flowers that I rarely ever use. :-\

What for me on the next season of Hoarders! ;D
