Oh dear, I've not been in for a while and missed so much! :-\

Lis, bless Louis for saying that :)
TL, your antics made me LOL ;D
Sharmaine, so sorry about your friends :(, and I hope your daughter(s) feel much better soon x

Things are ramping up round here, March is the mad month of birthdays for us - Max on the 6th, my mum on the 10th, Sam on the 11th and me on the 18th :o . Oh, and the 18th is also Mothers Day here in the UK. So it's a crazy time of buying presents and organsing parties, it's always a bit of a roller-coaster ride, but a lovely one :).

It's my 40th this year, and I get a nice long weekend of loveliness ;D, Friday night in a hotel with Paul, a party here Saturday night in the village pub with all my friends, the actual day (Sunday) with immediate family, Monday lunch with a friend, Wednesday folk concert with another friend. I can't wait ;D.

Right, off for a quick look at the reveal fun before I hit the hay......

The leap year has stolen my Sunday birthday :( :( :(
It's now on a Monday.
And to top it all the day before is Mothers Day and Louis has been invited to a birthday party 10.30-12.30.

Good morning ladies!

What did you end up buying TL? Lovely kit this month for sure.

Who would plan a bday party on Mother's Day? ridiculous. Lisa, My birthday is near the american mother's day and this past year it was the day before. sucks. I mean really, you get 2 special days as a mom/wife. your birthday and mother's day. last year was like, "oh do you want another card? already got you flowers.....2 dinners out in a row?....." It's like having your birthday at Christmas. :P

Nicky your 40th birthday weekend sounds fun!! 40's are AWESOME. I will be 45 this year, which honestly does feel a bit strange. don't know why. closer to 50? silly really just a number.

Can't believe we are planning our spring crop already. fun, fun.

Marie how did all your kit shipping go? Loved your kit this past month. You really put together lovely things.

well off to make some more coffee and get rolling.

Morning Denise,

I'm popping in with a pot noodle for lunch. Spicey curry. Yum!
Tell what addons you got in the end TL.

Nicky and I have the Mothers Day Birthday weekend this year Denise.
Nicky shares her day with Mothers Day and I'm the day after :(

We have Louis' parents evening this afternoon.
I've promised KFC if it's good.

The kit shipping is nearly done Denise! Just a few late payers (as usual...). Thanks for loving my kits. The fun part is that I love CD kit´s more than my own. I wonder why, might be that I sort of get tired of the stuff while packing them. ;D

Birthday nearby Mothers Day sucks! I´m lucky to have my birtday exactly in 6 months from Christmas (June 24th). It sometimes collides with Midsummer, but that isn´t to bad.

Another lovely day here today. Snow´s melting and I´m feeling sick... Well think it´s time for my cortisone shot..

Alice had her 4 yo check up today. She passed it perfectly, eccept for that she did see a little better on one eye. She did see the tiniest line on both, but on one eye she had more difficulties so they sending her to the Eyeclinic for a checkup. Nothing like when Max was on his 4 yo checkup and we noticed that he didn´t see at all on his left eye.

Guess what´s next to me on the table! Rondas book!!! It came today - and I already love it (even though I just looked trough it fast).

Well, nutty nurse is off to work tonight, so there might be some late night chatting or/and knitting going on 8).

Marie, you do make me laugh - nutty nurse!! :D Envious that you have Ronda's book, I didn't realised it was on sale yet, thought it was out in March.

TL, shame about the add-ons, maybe next time. Sounds like your March is as crazy as mine!

A day full of playgroup stuff today without actually going to work. We're moving to a new premises over Easter (very exciting, we hate our existing building and can't wait to get out), it's brand new and needs lots of new fittings, so we're applying for various grants towards the spend. So this morning we were planning the outdoor space and what we need to spend, we're planning a gorgeous sensory garden area, I really can't wait.

Then this afternoon I was at an area meeting for special needs staff (I'm the special needs co-ordinator at the playgroup), a tad boring but necessary!

I had a lovely chat with our Lis this morning, and made the terrible confession that I haven't scrapped since November, and that I have 3 kits sitting untouched :o .......I know, the SHAME :-\ . But there, I've said it now, it's all out in the open. I feel a bit of a fraud chatting here on a scrapping forum when I don't actually scrap, lol, but I'm determined to get back into it, here's hoping the urge returns asap!

Nicky, I stalk your blog hoping to see some scrappiness!! I love what you create but I know that feeling of not having the time/urge sometimes. A sensory garden sounds heavenly. I miss teaching so much. It was such a great job!

Nutty Nurse Marie. you crack me up :) Of course you like CD kits better. You don't have to work so hard and pack the box, and pick stuff out. It's like eating someone else's food. Still, I love your kits!

Lisa, I meant to comment on what Louise said about Ade. How wonderful for all of you. I am very lucky (and I have worked very hard) to have a great relationship with my stepkids. They really do feel like my children as well and I know they love me a lot. It takes work but I think blended families can be so special. Being a step parent has taught me so much about life and humbled me in wonderful and amazing ways. It taught me how to mind my own business #1 and just listen. WOW. did that change my life for the better. :) I am just so glad that your kids have Ade to love and support them.

TL you are going to love the stamps really. What phone are you getting? If you say an iphone I will scream. I really want one for the camera. I don't have a smart phone, just an old flip with no internet. I don't have time during the day to be on my phone anyway but damn I would love the camera on that baby!

Okay, dinner is in the oven. I am drinking a glass of red wine. It's been a long day. :)

Hiya,

My house smells so yummy :)
Chicken Korma in the crock at 8am and I've just baked flapjacks.

We have friends coming after school.
Hollie and I baked last night. She made peaches and cream cupcakes.
Tinned peaches on the bottom of the cases topped with vanilla cupcake batter and baked.
I've just made a really light vanilla frosting to go on top.
A thick vanilla frosting and then I added freashly whipped cream. It's so light and yummy.
Whilst Hollie made that I made a big tray of spiced banana and chocolate cake. It's actually my pumpkin cake recipe but instead of pumpkin and added really ripe bananas (always a shame to bin them) It's come out really well.

I needed to get some hay for the guineas this morning and stopped by the thrift store. We have a really nice one near us.
I picked up a nice big rectangle white basket which I've just lined with Kath Kidsto style fabric and placed at the bottom of the stairs, 2 nice picture frames and 2 books perfect for art journaling for £6.01.about $4. Not bad.

Marie, I think also wityh the CD kits is the surprise element. I love it when it arrives : )
'Nutty Nurse Marie' a fab name. We wouldn't have you any other way though :)

I'm working on 120 favour boxes and they are taking so long. I'm going to go and stick netflix on whilst I make. Started watching spooks this week.
I've got quite a few weddings coming up in April so loads to do.
It's always nice when you start your working relationship with a bride to be the year before when you do the invites. Some you get to know really well over the year and it's almost quite sad when they finally get married. I love it when they contact again for baby stuff :)

Ummmmmm Denise it is the iPhone ;) . Martins agreed to carry on paying for my monthly contract :o

That sounds so delishious Lisa. The boys love making Cupcakes. Tomorrow we have a school friend of Harley's coming for tea, so home made Hambergers & chunky chips I think.

I took Euan to Music group this morning. Came out with a stinking headache :D All these under 5's singing Nursery rhymes for over an hour.........and playing instuments......you get the picture :D

I can't believe I haven't posted here... I've been reading and then something has come up before I've had the time to write something!

Nicky - SO good to see you! :) You are so welcome to chat, scrapping or not. :)

It's all sunny and beautiful here again. LOVE that spring is getting closer. The chili seeds have sprouted! Yay! :D I think it's so amazing watching things grow.

Tomorrow we're going to visit my brother and his girlfriend. They're living in a really small apartment in the center of Stockholm. We'll be having lunch there and then my brother and I are taking Alva and Linus to the theatre to watch a circus show. It's supposed to be a somewhat different circus, with horses and dogs but no other animals and the critics have been soooo positive. My brother bought the tickets for us for Christmas. J was supposed to go, but he'll be taking Tuva for walk, or perhaps a fika :) , instead.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Anna, I am guilty of that too. I read through everything then just can't put down whats going on around here.
All the girls were back at school today. 2 were still a little spotty but I needed some sanity time. It's nutty cos through the school holidays they weren't this full on but this week, sigh lol
Our weekend... Tomorrow is looking like: sleep in (I HOPE), Dave has to mow the lawn, going to meet up with my sister and her girls, have to buy Lucy some new school shoes... think that's all that is on the agenda for now lol
