Do you ever have days when you just don't want to do anything? How do you motivate yourself?

I have a client who is retired. She was just talking about this yesterday. She has really been struggling with it. It struck me because I do feel this way sometimes and I just get up and keep going because I HAVE to. If I don't work I can't pay the mortgage. In some ways it is easier, I have a built in fire under my butt. But for her she is really having a difficult time because she no longer has that same motivation.

I am sure there are people who never feels this way, if you are one of them, what is the secret?

I'm like you Denise, I move because I have to! On days that I might have off of work though or when I was a sahm and I felt sluggish and not motivated I remember feeling even worse after spending a day doing nothing though...so in order to not feel yucky like that I try to just keep going and it's like I trick myself to keep on keeping on if you know what I mean. I would love to start my day with exercise but I don't know if I can get up any earlier than I am already and still make it through the day!! I'm sure I could, but apparently I don't want to lose sleep at this point so that's not a motivating factor for me right now.

I'm the same as you, I move along because I have to. I am longing for summer right now because then our schedules will all come to a major slow down. But as for now I keep plowing on.....my motivation Summer ya baby!
