I am happy to be here!

Postby nittygrittyjody » Fri Jul 06, 2012 10:11 am

Hello Cocoa Daisy-ites! I am not even sure what to call you. Or me yet, I am that new here. Bt I am here and excited to be the newest member on the boards. I have been away from "formal" scrapping for a couple of years, but am so excited that my life is allowing me to be crafty again.
I am recently moved to Minnesota from Michigan and have yet to buy a home and be totally settled, but my scrap supplies are getting more an more unpacked and I will be putting them to good use. I am anxious to get to know some of you all over again...and some for the very first time! :)

I will be learning y way around the boards and checking out the awesome gallery too. I can't wait. So, hello and hooray for the Cocoa Daisy scrap community!

Well hello there Jody Ferlaak! It's really really nice to see you here at Cocoa Daisy! :) I'm so happy you're back at the scrapping scene!

Where are you round abouts in MN? We lived in Rochester for 5 years and White Bear Lake for a year and a half. We loved Minnesota!

Thanks for the hello's. You got it right, my name is Jody. My blog is Nitty.Gritty. That's where the name comes from. Emily, we are back in MN after almost 15 years away. I grew up here and graduated from White Bear Lake. We are now in Northfield, which is probably less than an hour from Rochester. It's been s big challenge to move, but we love this town so far. I even have some new friends who love to scrap! I just need to get my space set up. I am :) working on it!

I see that I am called a Daisy Petal right now. What come after that? Daisy Petal Pushers?! ;) I am clearly having too much fun here already. Thanks, girls!
My family moved from Minneapolis area to Vero Beach, Florida. from Florida we moved to northern lower penninsula, to Gaylord, Michigan. It's a beautiful spot but averages 180 inches of snow each winter! We were there about 6 years and then moved to Grand Haven, Michigan which is on the shores of Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful spot as well. My husband's job as a General Manager/PGA Golf Professional has now brought us back to MN. I hope we are here to stay for awhile!

Gaylord and Grand Haven. Grand Haven would have been divine. I love Lake Michigan and being right there - sigghhh. We are heading to Higgins Lake today for a week.
