We have a pre-teen weekend.
I can not believe my baby turns 13 on Monday
So we are having a birthday weekend.

We've been out for burgers and fries tonight and just wanted a movie at home whilst Louis was at a party.
Tomorrow morning the 2 of us are going thrifting
We have girls being dropped off for a sleepover at 1pm.
All of us are going into town for Chinese. The girls have got 3 movies planned and lots of treats.
Ades doing breakie on Sunday and in the afternoon when the girls have gone home Hollie and I are going to the movies to match 'what to expect when you are expecting'.

Busy but fun weekend ahead.

We are relaxing in Savannah, GA tonight, heading to Paula Deen's restaurant for lunch tomorrow. We are then heading to Hilton Head Island for vacation!

My baby (24 year old son) flew in last night. We are heading to Higgins Lake tomorrow for a week vacay. He isn't coming up until later in the week. His friends want to spend time with him first. I'm in the middle of finishing up some laundry and getting our stuff around for the week.

Laura, you have a great vacay as well! YAY for your boy being home, even if it's to spend time with friends first, sounds like you will have a good time later in the week with him!

We have a ball tournament tomorrow for Brodie's tournament team, so I will spend my morning at least at the ball park. If they lose, they are done, but if they win, they keep playing through the day. If that first game is all they have, we may end up going to lunch or have a little afternoon fun with DH's dad for his birthday, not sure. In any case, I plan to have some more crafty time through the weekend as well!

oh, what a fantastic birthday-weekend! Sounds like she will enter the teens with a smile and that can be a good thing :-D


My husband are working all weekend but tonight I'm going to a girls-dinnerparty with 3 friends, we do this a couple of times a years, and we all have different courses we are in charge of. So this time I have the starter, and the welcoming drink :-)

the welcoming drink is a Frozen raspberrie marguerita and the starter will be beetroot with chevre cheese and honey :-)

So tomorrow I will probably be tired but we have sooo much fun on these dinners.

Our vacation starts now so the plans for this weekend is just to chill a bit. My oldest son are sick (fever and vomits) so he is "living" in the sofa in front of the tv right now.

oh Jeany, what a borring way to spend part of the summer, to have a fever and vommiting. Seems like theres a lot of illnesses in sweden this summer do to the bad summer weather :-(

do you know girls whats a little bit funny?? we are a lot of swedish girls here and this is the forum we talk to eachother in, so we translate and sometimes struggel with how to expres ourselfs in english. I realized this when Me, AnnaB, Mison and Jeany where the 4 gals talking in a thread a while back, there we where, 4 sweds chatting away in english :-D

But I'm thankful you chat in English because I'm a typical American. I only know one language! I think it's fantastic that so many other countries know more than one language. We are pretty lame for that.!

It's fun getting to know a little bit about some of you.
I am going to a big flea market with a new friend this morning. I am excited...even if it is just to be out of the house and share a good cup of coffee, but I bet I will find at least a few things to buy! Maybe even a few things to scrap with. I hope! Have a great weekend everyone!

We bought an iPhone docking loudspeaker and I used my free Audible download to download "The Passage", so now the husband is "reading" the book as well. I find that I really like it, even though it's my second reading.

I am working tonight but the sun is shining right now and I just finished a wonderful cup of coffee. I am probably going to do some house work and then Bill and I will go for a bike ride before I need to get ready. Really wish I didn't have to work but once I get there it will be fun.

Oh Jeany, sorry about the sick one too. That sucks. Hopefully he is feeling better soon!

Brodie's team lost their game this morning, so we're back home and I think I'm sticking in the a/c all day! UGH! Tomorrow is supposed to be about 20 degrees cooler here, so that will be welcome after this long hot/dry spell we have had. Maybe we can get some things done around here the next couple days, but today is going to be a lazy one, I can tell! Have a great day all!
