Computer issues...

Today I was wondering if this is where it all ends, and all the computers crash... There have been lots of computer issues lately, right?

We got some stupid virus on our stationary computer (the one I always use) and I really really hope we'll be able to fix it. (But I don't have time to spend hours trying to do so!!! )

The virus says that the hard disk is crashed, but it's all fake. Guess if it scared the **** out of me?! But it seems like the virus only wants us to believe that we have to buy some stupid program that will save the hard drive and it's not really crashed.

Please cross your fingers that we'll be able to fix it!

My fingers are crossed! I hope the problem is fixed soon! Computerproblem is horrible.
I´m lucky because my husband works with computers and have done so whole his life so he use to fix our computorproblems!

I think J got some advice from someone he works with, who knows a lot about computers. Hopefully we'll be able to fix it tonight.

oh anna!
i hate computer problems.
we've had our share of hard drives crashing, but overall, i think we've had a lot less trouble than so many others.
my hubby is very diligent in keeping the anti virus software up to date and that has really seemed to help.

best of luck on getting the bug out and having no more issues with the computer!

so sorry anna! i know how this feels intimately. My hard drive just crashed for real! What frustrates me the most is the computer was only two months old. Now i am saddled with the task of reinstalling every program and then uploading my backup. it's been a good solid week to get this thing up and running at 3/4 steam again. makes me want to toss it out the window but honestly it's such a huge part of the business i need it. sigh.....

You guys are sorta scaring me. How did a 2 month old computer hard drive crash? Is it a virus? Our PC was fine but just getting slow and I had really been wanting a Mac because of the boys interest in graphic design, stop animation, etc. All my art friends work on Mac so we got one. I have never had a crash but am terrified of one. How does it happen?

I'm so sorry about your computer Ronda...!

I am so happy our disk didn't crash for real. I think we managed to get rid of the virus...! Yay...! Not everything is restored, like the screen background is still black, but it seems like all the files and everything else is still ok!!!!

It's so frustrating isn't it?!!

Ours had problems just a few months ago but Ade seemed to sort it, but it's been getting slower and slower and sometimes everything would just shut down.

But then recently it's been completely freezing.
We were getting messages that we had a conflict of IP address.
Sometimes it was taking me several hours again before it would start up.
It's died completely now.
Thankfully we have an external hard drive although that crashed for 2 days last week. But then when Ade tried it again on the 3rd day suddenly everything was back. We do have 2 further back ups though.

He's starting on building me a new one tonight.
