Tips And Tricks

Hi Everyone

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I saw that there would be a pack of Dear Lizzy Die Cut Cards in on of the September add on kits.
I’ve been hoping to get some as I had a zillion ideas on how I could use them.
The very first thing I created was using the heart die cut card.

I used it as a stencil.
I placed it on my pattern paper and covered it with some texture paste.

The next step was the best…
Painting the hearts with a rainbow of water colours

This then became the background for my page

I also used the “This Is My Happy Place” die cut card on this page

I ripped it, distressed it and covered it with ink.
If you’re not sure about using the paper as a stencil, or wanting to reuse it, then a great tip is to waterproof it first. You can do this a couple of (non traditional) ways.  One is to use hairspray. Simply spray over the surface lightly and allow to dry. This method will give the paper a coating so you can reuse it a few times. Another way is to cover the surface using a glue stick. Just your regular glue stick. Allow to dry before using it.
I love to look at a product and see other ways to use it. How about you??
