“I started scrapbooking in 2002 as a way to organize all the stuff I collected after the birth of my son. It has become so much more than an organizational process for me - it has let me find my own personal passion and voice. It has become all about the process of capturing life and creating art.”

Weekend Update

This is how I spent my weekend–

SCRAPBOOKING!!!  I was on a scrapbook high.  I felt like an addict finally getting a fix.  Definitely can’t go that long again without indulging myself.

I created 3 layouts and an entire mini-album — I was so psyched with myself!

So, the very, very last thing I did with this layout was put the “A” on the page.  The second to last thing I did was drop the “A” all coated in zip-dry right on Alice’s face.  Anyone have any fabulous solutions on how to remove the glue?

Scott & I had a weekend in Paris 3 years ago (we were living in England so a weekend wasn’t quite as short as it sounds).  I’ve been meaning to do this layout since January when one of the add-ons had the Eiffel Tower diecut.  LOVE that!  And, looks like I need to save a photo of the 3rd layout…

I had so much fun making this little mini album (these are just a few pages of it).  The photos are all from a little hike we took with the kids last year.  I haven’t really had a chance to scrapbook in the last few months so with this I had plenty of embellishments from the December and January kits and add-ons to incorporate in it!  Loved finally having a chance to play with all.  I included the Maya Rd Office Steno Sheers so that I would have space for journaling; now I just need to go back and add it.  Each April kit will include 1 each of the red and blue circles that I used here; if you are interested in purchasing more, just email me.

So, now I just need to find a way to get enough time to scrap so I can create Christine’s banner and do the chatterbox album!

OK, I think it’s time to crawl up to bed… Goodnight!

I just had to share!

Christine just sent me photos from the project kit she created for January.  I love the way it turned out!! She used the Danelle box (that’s filled with 12 little books) to create mini albums for each month of 2008.  This kit is going to be jammed-packed with products and will include step-by-step instructions.  Hope you like it as much as I do!
