Stamping Sensation — wood embellishments
Hello! Diana here with you today to talk a bit about stamping. I love the stars background stamp that is in the kit this month (and you can see it on my page), but today I am going to talk about the extra stamps that were in the kit — the wood veneer arrows! Did you know you could use those as stamps?
First, you have to be committed to the idea that the stamp will most likely not show up clean and crisp with sharp edges. If you are OK with the fun artsy look, then this is an idea for you.
Here is an up-close picture of what the arrow can look like stamped onto your page and then also the wood veneer itself also inked and added to the page.
Here’s a little tip: I use the TomBow non-permanent dots runner for my adhesive. I run a little along the back side of the arrow and then allow it to stick to my finger as I dab it into the ink. This keeps my fingers from getting into the ink as well and then I won’t accidentally add little fingerprints to the edges of the stamped image as I apply it.
To get the lighter, double-stamped look I have in the image below, I stamped the arrow a second time using only what was left and not re-inking the arrow. Paired with the mist and the stars stamp, this little cluster makes a custom look to your background paper.
I hope I gave you an idea on how you can look at the pieces in the kits in a different way. Thanks for stopping by the Cocoa Daisy blog today.

Wonderful ideas!!
Super fun idea! I have never thought of trying to stamp with wood veneers.
Great page! I really like the combo of the pale cool toned stamping with that fantastic yellow splattering.
I love that idea!
