Layer Cake Challenge!
Instead of a sketch this month, I thought I’d mix things up a little bit and give you a page map in a different format. So, in honor of Tea and Cupcakes, let’s build a layer cake! All you have to do to play along is build a layout using the following layers as a guideline. I’m really excited to see how differently they will turn out.
Layer 1: Mist your page! (My sample uses Glimmer Mist in Pearl, so it’s very subtle.)
Layer 2: Add some paint to your layout, either spattered or with a brush. It’s up to you!
Layer 3: Glue down a little sparkle. (On mine, I spread on some Mod Podge then sprinkled glitter. I also glued on a few sequins.)
Layer 4: Some patterned paper.
Layer 5: A sticker on top of the paper.
Layer 6: A photo or 2 (or 3).
Layer 7: Add a bit of ribbon.
Layer 8: Stitches, either by machine or by hand.
Layer 9: A little stamping. (Mine’s the date).
Layer 10: And a title. (I used the really tiny alpha from January’s kit for mine.)
Here’s the layout I built with this recipe.
You have until January 9th to participate in the challenge. Just make a layout, upload a picture to the gallery, and link to this post in the comments so I’ll know you completed it. A winner will be announced shortly after the 9th and will receive a $10 voucher to the store. You do NOT need to use a Cocoa Daisy kit to participate in this challenge. Have fun! I can’t wait to see your creations!

Wow! Reading the recipe, I was totally surprised when I scrolled down to see your finished layout! I thought it would end up being very busy and 3 inches tall! Lol! I find your style so inspiring, Anja! Hoping to carve out some time this week to participate in a great challenge!
Love your layered LO! What a fun challenge this is; and, even though there are 10 “layers”, I’m finding it really easy to put it all together-Yay! This has been a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon

I loved this challenge. I loved that by following the recipe I did not have to lay out my whole page and products before hand, I just followed the recipe and was done before I knew it. Thanks Anja!
