Katrina SimeckI am a mom, a wife, a friend, a business woman, a coffee addict, a poor housekeeper, a decent cook, and…. a scrapbooker. During the day, I work as a project manager in a cosmetics manufacturing company. At night, you’ll find me holed up on my scrapbook room listening to loud music & playing with paper. Scrapbooking has become a creative retreat in the midst of my chaotic life.

I started scrapbooking shortly after my son was born, focusing on 8.5×11 pages and chronological albums. I quickly became overwhelmed with the notion of getting caught up, and I put down my deco scissors for the next several years. I dusted off my supplies a few years ago, and then decided to jump into the publishing game in 2006. It’s fair to say that I haven’t looked back!

I’ve had a blast working with various publications…I’ve been published in Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes, Cards Magazine, BHG Scrapbooks Etc, and Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. I was thrilled (honestly? shocked!) to be named a 2007 Memory Makers Master. I also recently joined the Design Team for Fiskars Crafts…what an awesome group of crafters!

“I started scrapbooking in 2002 as a way to organize all the stuff I collected after the birth of my son. It has become so much more than an organizational process for me - it has let me find my own personal passion and voice. It has become all about the process of capturing life and creating art.”

Well known for her signature style of everyday-life scrapbooking, Ali is a highly sought-after workshop instructor. She travels the US and internationally conducting classes and inspiring students to tell their stories fearlessly.

Ali lives in Eugene, Oregon. She enjoys travel, reading, politics, and spending time with her husband and son.
