Tips and Tricks – Missing Link…
Don’t you just love it (NO NOT REALLY) when you go to write your title and there is one letter missing???
Yeah, I don’t like it either!
So I thought I would share a few ideas of what you can do to overcome this hurdle (or for using up more of your alphas so you get rid of excess letters)
Look at ways of saying a word differently
On this page I added an extra ”H” to make a fun title
and on this page I played on words to use up some Z’s
Look at letters that you can cut up and form other letters
Here I cut a wooden “T” to create the “L”
an “s” became a “c” and a curly tailed “z” was cut up to create “e” on this page
Think about flipping letters
P for d, 3 for E or a 5 flipped and turned over becomes a 2, like on this page
Look at pattern papers.
The new Project Life style papers are great for title work
and packaging
It sometimes says all you need to say too!
and if all that fails then look at making your own letters/title.
Stamping, painting, hand cut, hand sewn, or with a cutting machine.
Use what you have. Buttons, washi tape, sequins… the list goes on and on
And I hope this has given you just a spark of inspiration for when your looking for a letter to complete your title.

Great ideas! I love the fun and whimsical touch that improvised letters can add to a page.
Love these ideas, Sharmaine! Very clever! And the two “geo tags” as a heart is awesome!!
These are all great ideas! Love it!
Fantastic ideas for letter replacement! I’ve cut and spliced letters a lot, but I’ve never thought about flipping a letter/number – I’m going to look for those solutions next time!
I use the cut and splice and rotate/flip a lot, but I just never thought of the spelling it differently. Brilliant!
