Inspiration on Tuesday
Happy Tuesday all!
Tuesday on the Cocoa Daisy blog means sharing inspiration with you, and I’m so happy I chose the add on kit called Sculpture Park because it happens that almost every thing else is sold out! What a bummer to do all that work and have the inspiration piece sold out, but I lucked out. Sculpture Park is bursting with color and texture, and the Amy Tangerine alphabets are chipboard so you can alter them to any color you want! So much fun!
The thing that struck me about Sculpture Park were the Basic Grey die cut flowers. They are so colorful and happy, but kind of flat. Then I found this tutorial on a blog called Yellow Blackbird and thought they were a match made in heaven, don’t you think it would be fun to follow these same steps, but with the Konnichiwa flowers instead? I think the different colors all stacked up would be lovely. You’d have to add some sort of starch or glue to make them stiff, but otherwise it’s a similar process.
Chocolate cupcakes with flowers? Something tells me these beautiful floral cupcakes, featured on Project Wedding, give a glimpse at how striking the colorful BG flowers would look against dark brown cardstock. Don’t you agree?
This bouquet from Bollea placed against the brown woody background is gorgeous. I know in the April kit there was a piece of Echo Park paper called Vintage Fans that had woodgrain on the B side. How perfect to mix and match kits!
Or how about making a headband with them, I could easily see this blue t-shirt headband from My Girlish Whims being turned into a very colorful version using the Basic Grey flowers.
So take these ideas and run with it, especially since the add on hasn’t sold out yet!

Ooo! Great inspirations, Emily! Those flowers as so cute–I bet the Basic Grey ones would look pretty awesome stacked up like that! Thanks for the visual treats!
this makes me happy!
