5 O’Clock DITL: Our Takes

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all had a great holiday this past weekend! We had amazing weather here in the Pacific Northwest and the egg hunts were a success, outside! 🙂 It’s always up in the air around here and indoor egg hunts are just not as fun and do not provide the best photos. And, isn’t it all about the photos anyways?

On to the 5 O’Clock Day in the Life kit. Another awesome kit! I just loved the kit this month. The exclusive cards are amazing and so colorful! I also love the square cards and the aqua October Afternoon letter stickers. Such fun stuff.

Look what the team did with the kit this month!

Ashli always amazes me with what she creates with the DITL kits. She, almost always, scraps a 12×12 layout with the kit and I’m always blown away.

Lisa’s got these great 12×12 pocket pages with lots of 4×4 squares and I love that she doesn’t let that stop her when scrapping with the DITL kits. She makes those 3×4 and 4×6 rectangle cards work. I love it, Lisa!

Suz included lots of journaling on her DITL pages this month. I love that. I usually include just a single card wrap up of the week and I admire those who can include lots of stories with their photos each week. I also love that the Cocoa Daisy DITL kits include lots of cards that journaling can be added too, along with the photos. They’re just perfect!

Lastly, there’s my 6×8 pages and inserts. I have loved the challenge of making the DITL kits work for me and my 6×8 weekly spreads this year. Sometimes, I have to cut the cards down (like the orange heart 2×2 card I cut from one of the 3×4 cards). Sometimes, I use the pages with the 4×6 or 3×4 pockets and figure out ways to include the same number of photos to my spreads. It’s so fun, this 2015 challenge I put out there for myself.

What will you create with your DITL kits when they arrive? I know I can’t wait to see them in the gallery later this month! 🙂

Have any awesome day!
