Journal Entry DITL Pages

Greetings Daisies!

I have to tell you that there is a consensus among the design team members that “Journal Entry” is an awesome kit to work with!  Today I have several DITL pages to share with you from it.  I have three pages done already and a fourth in the works.  The kits are all packed this month and so easy to work with that I can’t seem to stop playing with them.

This first page is from the add-on kits mostly.  It is a single page as it accompanies a layout (which you can see HERE in my gallery).  We are still in the middle of winter in my part of the world, so I really enjoyed working with the bright colors in the February kits and pulling out some of my photos from last summer.  Ah, summer!

This full page spread was created exclusively with the Journal Entry DITL Kit.  These photos are from February of last year.  I was actually glad to not have finished them yet as it was fun to create February pages with my February kit!

The Evalicious alphabet in this kit was just awesome.  A puffy sticker alphabet?  Yes, please!  and thank you!

My favorite part of this spread is the pocket with my son and me in it.  I cut out the silhouettes of the two of us and backed it with one of the cards from the kit.  I don’t usually cut pictures like this, but there was another person right in the middle and it was very distracting.  The card actually says “You mean everything to me” (which he does!), but with our silhouettes pop dotted on it, it looks more like just “you and me” which works very well too.

Next up, we have a couple of inspiring projects from Alissa.

Alissa is working in 6×8 this year which compliments the DITL cards and 3×4 photos beautifully.

I thought it was absolutely delightful how she used the little 2×2 cards on this one and then made complimentary 1.5×1.5 sized photos in a collage to pair with them.

Alissa also made a great 9×12 page for her puppy.  I simply must use that pen tracing technique on my pink script patterned paper.  Isn’t it fabulous?

Next up we have a spared from Anna again focusing on the February DITL kit.

I really love the way she focused on the softer colors in the kit and added in lots of white for a more airy effect.

And finally, we have a couple great (and diverse!) pages from Suz.  This first one celebrates the more vivid colors in the kits.

While this second spread focuses on the more softer tones.  She also gave her new days of the week stamp set quite a workout on this one.

Are you a pocket pages scrapbooker?  We’d love to see your pages!  Leave them in the comments section or share them in the Cocoa Daisy Gallery!
