Mini Book Madness | Home Again

Hello Daisies! Alissa here! Hoping I find you all enjoying the post Christmas/pre New Year’s time of the season. And, I hope you all are enjoying the reveal of the January kits. I know I am LOVING them! I had a blast creating with them and will continue to enjoy them through this coming month.

Today, I’ve got that mini book I posted with the December kit, Home Alone. It was not complete with photos and journaling previously in my gallery and I promised to bring it back completed today.

You can see a few differences, even on the cover shot. I added one of the Maya Road Love/Heart clips to the envelope that is the 2nd page. This mini was super easy to put together. I used my crop a dile and a couple binder rings to put all the pages together.

I added the Daily Flash alpha stickers from October Afternoon to create a sub title for the mini book.

I journaled on a 3×4 card from one of the cut apart sheets in the kits and tucked it under the Maya Road clip inside the envelope. The next page was a piece of wood grain printed packaging from the Teresa Collins envelope set. I applied a little gesso to it for texture originally, but ended up covering most of it with the photo of her cute cake.

I covered the back of the wood grain card with the AWESOME exclusive design by Stephanie and added a full size photo and a little journal sticker from My Mind’s Eye. There were a couple large chipboard pieces on the Teresa Collins 12×12 chipboard sheet and I added them as a couple pages in the mini book. The post card page is one of the chipboard pages.

One great thing about using the chipboard pieces is the adhesive they have on the back. Makes it super easy to cover the backs with patterned paper. For the next page I used one of the cute Dear Lizzy Die Cut 4×6 cards for a page. I sandwitched a 4×6 piece of gold vellum between the card and a 4×6 photo. Added a trio of chipboard arrows and journaled about how i love this photo of Hannah & Jackson.

On the 4×6 photo I stapled one of the banner notes from Teresa Collins and a few of the Maya Road Naked Chipboard letters I misted with some shimmery coral colored mist. Next up is another large chipboard piece from the Teresa Collins sheet as a round journal page. I love the cute little puffy star sticker from Evalicious.

Yes, I’m still using the gold airmail washi from a few months ago. I just LOVE it! The next page is one of the white 4×6 cards in the DITL kit. Misted with the Maya Road Naked Alphas. The “so” is more of the Maya Road Alphas and this time I inked them with a shiny gold ink and splattered a little gold mist on the page.

Another full 4×6 photo page with a chipboard flag from the Teresa Collins sheet. The next page is the 4×6 grid page from the DITL kit splattered with a few colors of shiny mist in gold, navy and coral. I loved the wood grain chipboard ampersand so much that I just added it alone and called it done. ๐Ÿ™‚

2 more 4×6 full page photos with another chipboard flag on one page and a gold paper clip with a little of the cream ribbon from the kit tied on for a tab.

One last 4×6 full page photo and the back cover is a vellum envelope I filled with some gold and silver sequins. I cut the envelope down and did not have my sewing machine out so, i sealed the envelope with more of the gold airmail washi and took my Tiny Attacher stapler to the punched holes, to keep the sequins in.

Here’s the back of the final page. I added the washi tape over the seal of the envelope to make sure all those pretties stay in there for always. ๐Ÿ™‚

And, that’s all! Thanks for sticking with me to the end. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you have enjoyed seeing my mini through to completion this month. I can’t wait to see all of your fun projects and I would LOVE to see more mini books in gallery. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have an AWESOME New Year’s this week!
