January Daisy Devotion

By:      comments (9)

We are so blessed at Cocoa Daisy to be surrounded by so many talented gals we like to call Daisies.   Our message boards are filled with fabulous gals from around the world that we thought it was time to share them with you.  Each month we will showcase a fellow daisy so you to can be in awe of their creations.  After all you Daisies are one of the many reasons why Cocoa Daisy blooms.  Without further adieu we would like to introduce our first Daisy Devotion.

Laura Johnson

message board name… FLAPJACK

living in…. Bristol, UK

favorite cocoa Daisy Kit…  So difficult.  I love my Cocoa Daisy kits.
October and the Haute Couture add on were just so gorgeous, but I’ve found the December kit to be equally as scrummy.

scrapbooking since… 2007.  I had a second baby that miraculously slept and I *had* to take it easy, so scrapping it was.  Turned out she was totally faking me out.  But, I had a blissful few weeks there for a while.

my style…  A bit of everything really.  I like trying all sorts of different styles.  It’s why I love the scrapbooking process so much.

soundtrack…  Well, that would be a bit of Take That.  The boys just get better with age.  I find I scrap best with a Bones episode on in the background.  That’s a well kept secret however.  I don’t tell many people about that.

perfect day…  A lie-in, waking up to find someone has magically cooked me a Sunday roast and brought me chocolate, followed by a trip to the Zoo or beach.

first job…  Folding towels, stacking sheets and helping customers in a homewares store.  I still have a slight OCD about having my towels folded properly.

indulgence…  Room-temperature bars of Dairy Milk.  Heavenly.

alarm clock… A small, bouncy, wickedly mischieveous person called Kate.  Or, a dead-pan, pull your eyelids open, slightly taller mischief called Beth.

childhood ambition… I suppose it was to be a Teacher or Writer.  Although, I did resist.  Every careers test I ever took told me I should be a Teacher and I was inwardly outraged and kept taking them. I became a Teacher.

last purchase… Reading books for Beth.  Internet clicking is far too easy.

my life… is happy.  I am a very lucky girl.  (If I can still call myself a girl, that is).  Which is probably pushing my luck, to be fair.

Thanks Laura for sharing bits & pieces of your life with us.  You keep us laughing with your late night ramblings.  You provide us with lots of inspiration.
