Have you done your Christmas cards yet?

I love Christmas cards!  I love receiving them and seeing how much friends’ children have changed and hearing about their year.  I also love sending out Christmas cards and each year I really want to send a card that expresses who we are as a family.  This year I didn’t even begin with the illusion that I was going to make my own cards — there was just no time for that this year!   For several months I’ve been thinking about Christmas cards and researching sites.  I finally did something about it on Tuesday.  I ordered our cards through www.tinyprints.com.  I have been incredibly impressed with the level of their service!  I had a couple of errors on my cards and they called to doublecheck with me on those.  Upon finding another error they made a second call.  How’s that for personalized service?  I really appreciate that I didn’t have to go through the disappoint of ordering cards just to receive them and find out that they weren’t perfect.

The system of personalizing your cards is also super easy.  If you are having  problems you can do an online chat with a customer rep (or give them a call!).  Not to mention all the beautiful choices and vast array of cards, invitations, address labels, etc.  In fact, they were so gorgeous that I decided I need to throw a holiday party just so I could order some of those gorgeous invitations as well!

And… even better they have a really good sale going on right now!  Enter the code DECHOLSALE and you can get up to $50 off your order!

This isn’t the card I purchased, but how cute is this one?

And I LOVE the matching address labels (ok, these puppies are on the pricey side…)

Here’s one more set.  The card:

And the label:

And honestly, they aren’t paying me, I just wanted to share a very positive experience and a beautiful product!

The Graphics Fairy  She posts free vintage clip art that is beautiful and great to incorporate into scrapbooking!  It’s my new obsession.  Here are a few samples:

A slightly late Thanksgiving

Ok, Thanksgiving wasn’t late it’s the getting the photos up that’s late!

We had a beautiful day with 2 other families at our house.  I was a bit hesitant to host with all the business we have in our lives right now but I’m so glad I did!  And then I got into holiday feel and went overboard.  We turned the playroom back into a dining room, rented a table and chairs and decorated like crazy for it.  Not to mention we got new counters on Tuesday, got the plumbing back on Wednesday and hosted on Thursday!

Here’s what the room looked like when I started

And this is what it looked like once we finished

The kids got the kitchen (when they weren’t hanging out in the basement enjoying our makeshift movie theater) and here they are all saying what they were thankful for.  Alice’s little friend listed many, many things but at the end she said, “And most of all I am thankful for Ali!”  Alice’s smile was priceless!

Scott made a gorgeous turkey (and wow does brining make it good!)

A perfect holiday and I am thankful for family, friends and a fun evening!
