Lift Me Up!

By:      comments (1)

Have you seen our beautiful member galleries?  We were so impressed with our members’ amazing creations, we started a little game out of it called Lift Me Up.  Seven players in a “broken whispers” kind of game using a layout hand picked from our packed galleries.  The selected layout gets passed to the first person to scraplift and then their layout gets passed on to the next person.  The layouts can change a little or a lot but everyone puts their own personal spin on the lift.  So much fun & so many people wanted in on the scrap lifts, we started doing head to head battles.  This time around was Round 4 versus Round 5.  Each team tries to see if they can lift the layout the fastest.  We keep track of who is working on the layout as it cycles through each one of the girls.  And these girls get competitive.  The competition usually ends within hours of each other.  The first one to finish this time was Round 4.  They get the honors of being revealed here on the Daisy Diva blog!  The original layout was Jen Davis (HappyDays525) gorgeous layout using the September kit.

Round 4

Congrats Round 4.

AMartin_OnTheWall

Do you stitch on your layouts?  If so, do you stitch every neatly or are you a messy stitcher.  I have an older sewing machine that really only stitches a few different styles, so I try to take advantage of that in using just a few overlapping lines.  In doing that, however, it’s also fun to make them messy by simply lifting the machine’s foot and moving the project around without cutting the thread.  Changing the type of stitching, also, mid-stream so to speak, can also create a fun, messy effect.  Check it out on the layout below using some funky stitching and some of the Cocoa Daisy October kit products…”

We’d love to see what you can do with your sewing machine!  Leave a comment here linking to how you use your sewing machine and you could be the lucky winner of a $10 Cocoa Daisy gift certificate!
