Hello Daisies !! It’s Aida here and I would like to share with you a layout using the Corner Market Add-ons for August. The kit contains the Prima Blendables Alphabets as well as the Making Memories Chocolate paint. A tip about using paint : don’t over-analyse it, sponteneity is part of the fun, relax, fit your design around the shape of the painted background.
I wanted to use the Lily Bee Die-Cut square scalloped paper in the layout and began by roughly tracing the shape of the die-cut on the cardstock. Using a discarded piece of chipboard, I spread the paint on the cardstock, going beyond the traced lines.
A few straight lines were added using the sides of the paint-coated chipboard and after that, I dipped the end of a pencil in the paint to add small circular marks. If you like, use tubes or small jars dipped in paint to add more circular shapes. Make sure the paint is completely dry before working on the rest of the layout.
With layouts that have a limited range of colour, texture is the key to making it interesting. Glimmer Misiting in one of the ways to add a subtle splodges of sheen, and another is white pen doodling which is very effective on dark coloured paints. I love Stickles and randomly daubed on Aqua to give the layout bright spots of glitter accent.
