Gretchen McElveenHi! I am Gretchen McElveen.

I live in Helena, AL with my husband and our dog.  No kids for us yet…but soon!

I work full time as a physical therapist in an outpatient clinic but of course I would rather be scrapbooking!

My aunt introduced me to scrapbooking by way of Creative Memories during college but I did not get serious about it until after we got married in 2002. I still have the corner rounder that I bought during my first CM party!!

Scrapbooking is such an incredible hobby! It is my creative outlet and a way to express emotions and feelings I often have difficulty saying.

It is my way of documenting life and the special people who are such a big part of it. I cannot think of a much better way of spending my time!

And I am excited to be able to share my work you this month!

Announcing the newest Daisy Divas!

Thank you so much to every one of you who took the time and effort to submit to our design team call!   It’s not an easy thing to put your work out there and I appreciate each of you who partook in our call and took the chance.  Thank you so much!

The submissions were amazing!  All of us here at Cocoa Daisy found it very difficult to narrow all those incredible submissions down to just 3.  We’ve been going back and forth with emails and phone calls over the weekend trying to reach our decision.  I love holding design team calls to see the varied styles of some many gifted scrapbookers.  The part I don’t like is whittling down all those amazing submissions to just a few.  Without further ado, let me introduce our new design team members.

Hi, Mou here :)

If you are eagerly waiting for the August kit, your wait will be TOTALLY worth it. If you are debating, I’ll say go ahead and get it because this kit is so fun and versatile!  You’ll get to play with all the NEWEST American Crafts Blue Skies stuff and much more . I loved all the papers so much, I couldn’t pick just one…so, I cut the papers into strips and used as many as I could in each layout. Yeah, this month, most of my designs are strippy :)

Get those photos ready ladies, because you won’t be able to put down the August kit (talking from experience so far…lol!!! 9 layouts done and more in the works).
