After reading the police blotter this morning in our local paper, the Gazette-Times, I just had to share!
Small Change: A man reported someone had entered his car and taken money from the center console. The thief got away with 20 cents.
Powerful thirst: David Allen Corner, 53, of Corvallis was arrested for first-degree burglary and third-degree theft after he allegedly entered a neighbor’s apartment and took three cans of Keystone Light from her refrigerator. He said he had permission to take the beer; the neighbor said he didn’t.
Domestic assault: donald Lee Laypoole, 52, of Blodgett was cited for fourth-degree assault for allegedly punching his girlfriend in the arm during a domestic dispute. The arresting officer noted her arm appeared swollen and that she described the pain as a 15 on a scal of 1 to 10.
Car theft: A woman reported her blue 2007 Toyota Yaris… had been stolen during the night. Someone had removed her car key from her keychain after she left her keys in the apartment door.
Once again, I have to say, for the most part we get pretty darn lucky in Corvallis when it comes to crime!
I’ll be back tomorrow with my favorite new products from CHA.
Good night!
