I made another layout using the beautiful May kit. I love this kit and I love spring and I love the Anemone nemorosas…!

I hope you’re having a great Friday!

Gratitude

They say to stay positive, you should list three things you are grateful for each day.  Today I thought, why stop at 3?  I could easily do 20!  So here goes, today I’m grateful:

  • That I turned on the NBC evening news just in time to see their Making a Difference Segment on 11 year old Taylor from Florence, Oregon and his book drive.  If you live in Oregon, you’ve probably heard about him.  If not, for a feel good moment, check it out.
  • For really yummy strawberries.
  • That I discovered this photo of Alice when I uploaded photos today
  • alice-on-rock-5-17-09
  • For a beautiful warm spring day.
  • That I can send my children to school in shoes that fit.  While volunteering in Jack’s class today I realized how too often that isn’t the case.
  • That I found a few minutes to finish potting the plants I bought a couple weeks ago!
  • For a good solid chunk of quiet time to get some productive work done.
  • That I got to sit out on the back deck to eat lunch.
  • For the smile that lit up Jack’s face when he saw me walk into the classroom.
  • For the chance to catch up on the phone, even if ever so quickly, with a couple of good friends.
  • That my mother is happy to sit on the phone for 15 minutes chatting with her 4 year old granddaughter.
  • For that first iris I saw this morning blooming in the yard.
  • That I took a few minutes out of the busy morning routine to lay down and snuggle with a sleepy little Alice.
  • That Scott is back home after 4 days in Phoenix.
  • For the monster bone that has kept Daisy occupied in the backyard most of the day.
  • For a lovely email from a subscriber.
  • For being able to have a small indulgence this morning of a Starbuck’s tall half caf skinny sugarfree vanilla latte (can you believe people make fun of me when I order that? LOL)
  • That it’s warm enough to wear flip-flops.
  • That all the laundry is actually put away!
  • That I get to go out with a bunch of girlfriends tonight!  A friend in Denver put together a monthly girls’ night out.  She encouraged her friends to invite their friends and it was always at a different bar/restaurant.  It was a great way to meet new people and to check out different venues in town.  I decided to initiate the same here in the Corvallis area and this is the inaugral event!

Hope you find much to be grateful for today too!
