Anna’s ad challenge for the Cocoa Daisy crop inspired me to create this layout:

Helena was sweet enough to ask me to show a tutorial on how to create the subtitle (nose to nose). Here you go Helena ![]()
The first step is to apply your letter stickers where you want your title to appear. Rub them down – but not to hard as you don’t want them to rip the paper when you pull them off.

The next step is to blend your ink over the letter stickers. I love my Tim Holtz blender and I used it with three different color inks just randomly mixing them until I had the effect that I wanted. Make sure to get along all the edges of the letters.

Time to add some paint! I like to have a few of these little spray bottles on hand – they are perfect for creating paint splatters, simply mix your paint with some water to thin it down enough to go through the sprayer. Then spritz away! Make sure you have your area covered in case of any over spray. Keep in mind that the more you spray the more warped your paper will get.

Once the paint has started to dry you can go ahead and carefully peel the letter stickers off. I like to use my craft knife to do this so that I don’t smear any of the still damp paint.

That’s it! Just build around your title and you are all done. Of course you can use any mask with this technique, it doesn’t have to be just letter stickers.
Here is the finished card:

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend ![]()
