Positioning computer journaling.

By:      comments (5)

I had a request to show how I get my computer journaling positioned on my 12×12 layouts, so here is my process.

The first step is to get your page all laid out the way you want it (do not glue anything down yet!).step-1

Next using your layout as a guide measure where you want your journaling to fall on the page. Pull up a 12×12 page on your computer program (I use a very old program called Multi-ad Creator but this should work in photoshop too) (I am NOT  a digital scrapbooker so feel free to leave a comment with any other programs you know of ) and transfer your measurements to the page on your computer. You can see where I marked the space off with guide lines. Next I just pick my font and type size and fill in the area with my journaling.
step-2

Now you need to print out a test sheet (I like to use the backs of REALLY old patterned paper for this). You will need a wide format printer to print out the 12″x12″ size but you can do this same process if you scrapbook in an 8 1/2″ x 11″ format and have a standard printer.
step-3

The last step is to lay your test sheet over your layout and make sure the journaling falls where you want it to. Make any adjustments you need to on the computer and when it is exactly how you like it send your original sheet of paper through your printer. That’s it! Just add the rest of your photos, patterned paper and embellishments to your layout and it is all done!
step-4

Hope this helps and if you have any questions just post them in this thread and I will be happy to answer them. Have a great day everyone!
