April Favorites

I am constantly awed by the work of my fellow Daisy Divas and I thought I’d take this opportunity to share with you some of my favorite details and bits from the April Daisy Divas gallery. I think they’ve really outdone themselves this month with the gorgeous April kit!

First up is awesome Anna B…

annaCheck out the way she cut the swirls to fit around her pictures. What a great way to frame the pictures – so cool! Anna’s work is so quirky and fun – I’m always surprised by her little details!

Christine’s card making skills always inspire me…

She does unexpected little things that are just brilliant and has an amazing eye for detail! I love the way the design of the Scenic Route paper holds the floral embellishment. The leaf pin and the tiny tag – what delightful finishing touches!

Ronda has a real knack for layering elements…

rondaLayered paper and ribbon, a title layered over song lyrics with ink splatter…it’s so dimensional and complex – I love it! Ronda is also fearless when it comes to scrapping real emotion and that’s inspiring too.

Kim is awesome at dynamic layouts…

Look at how the swirl, photo placement and title placement all convey motion in this layout. I also adore her clouds and stitching!

Emily S has a unique, clean style that incorporates quirky little details…

In this one, I love how her cut out embellishments work together. I love the swirls highlighted with glitter and I ADORE the cut out numbers backed with various patterned papers! What a great idea!

Aida’s work is always so detailed – so much eye candy!

And she cuts paper like nobody’s business! Her cutting gives the illusion that the butterflies are flying right off the page in this layout! And look at that amazing cluster of flowers, buttons and pearls – lovely!

I love Mou’s work because she always does something unexpected!

I love how she has hand-stitched lines for the rub-on journaling to sit on. And the ruffled ribbon – what an adorable tag!

Emily G does things I’d never think of…

like filling the Hambly butterfly with buttons and paper circles. It creates texture and dimension and I love the result – a perfect accent for the theme of the layout!

Meghan’s layouts are pure emotion…

She just lays it all out there – little Atticus will never wonder how she felt about being his mom. I also love how she’s not afraid to do the unconventional – like journal all over a picture. Her courage to do and say what she feels is inspiring!

And last but not least, Tara…

Her photography always shines! She has a real knack for capturing her beautiful girls in all of their many moods. Her style is built around showcasing those pictures. These pictures of her giggling daughter make me want to go practice taking pictures!

And there you have it – my favorites from the April gallery! I hope you found it as inspiring as I did.

Sue’s layouts will begin appearing in the May gallery but I wanted to showcase my favorite of hers too…

I think her use of the Prima stamp, rub-on placement and cut out flower are just brilliant on this layout! Can’t wait to see more of Sue’s work!

Whew! So much great work in there this month! I’d love to hear what you liked best!
