The April Cocoa Daisy Kit!

Good Monday morning!  I hope you had a fun weekend!  Ours was one of work and a bit of fun.  I think the most fun was having Scott install a wall of cabinets over my work space!  I am so excited with how they turned out!  I still need to get hardware for them (as well as glass cut for the glass faced cabinets), repair the wall, and get it all arranged the way I’d like.  Once that’s all done, I’ll definitely post some photos.

The other bit of fun (done while Scott and Wendy’s husband Tom hung the cabinets) was taking our kids and Teagan to see the local high school’s production of “The Whiz.”  Growing up in NY during the mid-70s there were always ads on TV for “The Wiz” on Broadway with Michael Jackson (that and Jimmy Osmond in “Yankee Doodle Dandy”).  Am I showing my age here?   I was always begging my parents to take us.  Come on, who could be cooler than Michael Jackson or Jimmy Osmond?  I only had to wait 30+ years to get my chance!  The show was phenomenal.  The girl in the role of the Wicked Witch of the West was incredibly talented and I’m sure she has a very promising acting/singing career ahead of her.

Taking three kids out to a very crowded venue with each trying to go in a different direction made me double think the wisdom in wishing for child number 3.  I took the kids to Chipoltle afterwards where rice and beans and chicken were soon flying around, fights were ensuing, children were dancing wildly (I haven’t yet determined why Alice thinks Chipotle is the best place in town for dancing) and the table of college girls near us were taking it all and enjoying their carefree, childfree college days all the more.  Yes, three wild, messy banshee children are definitely the most effective form of birth control there is!

And, as promised, here is a peek at the April kit!  With teal blue and chocolate factoring so large in decorating right now, I knew going to CHA that I wanted to build a kit around those colors but I wasn’t quite sure what feel I wanted the kit to have.  Once Christine and I spied this paper at the My Mind’s Eye booth I knew exactly what we were looking for!
