I had a few minutes today, not enough time to really start on a layout but enough time to play! I had a lot of this silver Maya Mist left over from my November Project kit and I wanted to see what other ways I could use it. The mist looks grey in my pictures -which is a shame, because in real life it is a beautiful shimmery silver!
Here a few of the ideas I came up with.
This first idea would look great as a background to a winter/holiday layout. Simply use a snowflake mask (this one is from Heidi Swapp) or make your own mask from punches or a die cut machine, position it on a piece of cardstock and spray away! Make sure to shake the mist before each spray and place some newspaper under project to protect your work surface from over spray.

The next idea I had was to use some tree punches as a mask to create a cute winter card. I punched three trees from cardstock used temporary adhesive to attach them to the card and sprayed the mist over top.

For this last one I created a card using a small square of cardstock to create a border of mist along the edges and then used the negative punched tree shape as a stencil for the tree.
Here are the steps:

I hope this has inspired you to play with some Maya Mist or Glimmer Mist! I will post my finished projects next week!
