I can’t believe two years have gone by since we started down the Cocoa Daisy road! Decidedly the best part of all of this has been getting to know so many amazing women from around the world I’ve met through the site. Two and a half years ago I would never have believed I would be in regular contact with scrapbookers in Australia, Sweden, the UK, South Africa, Canada and all over the US. My horizons have been vastly expanded just by sitting at my desk (much too often, like now, in my pjs…) and typing away at my computer! Thank you to all you wonderful women who have allowed us here at Cocoa Daisy to become part of your lives! And, to say thank you, look for some exciting occurrences to be coming your way all month long! Check back tomorrow when the fun will begin!
A few of Stacy’s friends got in on the fun of the kit she designed for us. Both Lain Ehmann of Simple Scrapbooks and Scraphappy podcasts and Kelli Crowe have created just gorgeous layouts (and a minialbum using the kit). Here’s a few for your viewing pleasure!
Here’s a few of Lain’s:
And some of Kelli’s:
How cool are all those layouts? It always amazes me the different tacks everyone takes with the same supplies! To see more of what they did with the November scrapbooking kit, check their blogs.
Thanks so much girls!!!
I hope you had a fun Halloween. Ours consisted of two very fun parties, a pink poodle, a blue power ranger, a VP candidate and the First Dude. And amazingly, it poured here most of the day and stopped in the late afternoon and because of the cloud coverage the temperature was still about 60 that evening. The absolutely perfect trick or treating weather!
Here’s an Alice poodle — I love that little face she’s making!
Jack the power ranger:
And Scott and I as the first couple of Alaska:
And I hope you all are able to make it out to the polls. I love that in Oregon we do mail in ballots. Scott and I sat down last Monday and spent the evening carefully analyzing the candidates and ballot initiatives. Friday night while we were out trick-or-treating I discovered that Scott did not drop the ballots off at one of the many conveniently placed ballot drop-off boxs but rather put them in the mail. Without stamps on them. Meaning, our ballots might not be making it very far. Soooo, tomorrow I’ll be heading down to the post office to see if they actually made it to the county elections office or if all my civic pride was for naught. Wish me luck!
