The color scheme of this months kit is so striking that I could not stop playing with it and I thought I would share a few ideas on how to use some of the bits and pieces I had left over as well as how to stretch the color scheme. The first thing I did was make a set of cards using some of the scraps I had left over - so glad I found a way to use that leftover half of a flower!
I love how the pale blue on the always card blends so well with the black, white and green of this kit. It is a nice “icey” color! The dandelion I used on the card was a scrap I had laying on my table :)

After putting the cards together - I really wanted to use more of this color scheme, so I grabbed my paints and just played! Including the pale blue in my background and the darker blue stitches help to add some great texture and make the grass overlay stand out.

So the next time you feel like scrapping but are not really in the mood to do a layout, use your scraps for a card -keeping them simple, or just grab a piece of white cardstock and play - adding paint and some little bits from your kit!
