Fun with distress inks and stamps…
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a lovely Friday!
Today I’m sharing a layout where I created the background using Distress Inks and the September Dandelion stamp.
Distress Inks are fun, because they dissolve when you add water. To create this background I stamped the images onto watercolour paper. Using a brush loaded with water I then dissolved some of the stamped images and let the ink run down my page. A watercolour paper handles water in a better way than ordinary cardstock, but you can probably get a cool effect using cardstock too. I think I want to try this on top of regular cardstock covered with gesso! The ink wouldn’t soak into the paper in the same way as it does on the watercolour paper, but the effect would be a bit different.
I also coloured the little wooden people with the Distress Inks. I used two different blueish colours, Broken China and Tumbled Glass and the green ink is called Crushed Olive.

Have a fab Friday and a wonderful weekend!
