Inspiration: Words and Colors
I’m always inspired by creative lettering, especially when I also dig the idea being expressed. Yesterday, on my internet travels, I found this piece…
It’s from an etsy shop called vapor.qualquer. I’m a big fan of etsy – much of my wall art was purchased there. I might need to add this piece to my collection. The lettering style combined with the color choice makes it stand out. It caught my eye instantly. The colors actually remind me of our August kit – very sunset-y. I think the watercolor helps to add to the sunset effect. The phrase is pretty appropriate for me right now, as well. After all, I’ve got that big list of things to accomplish before I turn 40! I’m thinking of using this piece as inspiration for another layout with the August kit. A new lettering style to try out! You’ll probably be seeing that one in a couple days.
Do you ever see a poster and feel the need to create something instantly?

I agree with the watercolor helping to create that sunset-y feel. Adds some movement and subtle depth to something very bold and graphic. Cool! And, working backwards, the layout you ended up creating looks awesome! Love those bold letters on the dark background!
