Hello Spring!!

Hello!!

Here in the UK, we are definitely seeing the first signs of Spring. The mornings and evenings are lighter. The temperatures are reaching 50F some days and we are waking up to the sound of the birds. It’s so exciting, those first feelings that Spring and Summer are finally on their way.

Ashli and I worked on a couple of Spring projects with our March Kits to share with you.

Ashli made the post adorable mini book using her kit.

Isn’t that a beaut?!!

Ashli Says:

I love spring and I love to garden. And, with snow on the ground these days, I am dreaming of the fresh spring colors to come, hopefully soon! So, I chose to make a little garden planner book… a place to hold my seed packets, sketch plant layouts, and make notes of what chores are to be done. I was super inspired by the use of brown bags last month, from my fellow teamies, so I used that as a base for my album :)

I love this book so much!!

I decided to make Spring March cards with my kit scraps this month. I used alot of the DITL kit with some other kit scraps.

I don’t usually make Easter cards, but my Mum always send us one. So this little DITL kit card with the Easter nest was perfect to turn in to a card. I added some Stickles for some sparkle. The other cards are no reason ‘just because’ cards. One for each of my children.

It’s also Mothers Day this weekend in the UK, so I’ve made these two cards.

A very simple card using a DITL card, a heart punch and a little sewing and my favourite card.

I cut a flower and some leaves from the Crate Paper in the Main kit and coloured them with soft pastels and added glitter. The lined card is from the DITL kit. I cut it down to size and rounded the corners. To make it extra special from my Mother in Law I used the old type writer that she gave me a couple of years ago that belonged to her Dad.

And finally, it’s my Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, so I made this.

That washi tape in the Main Kit has to be my favourite kit item so far this year.

Does Spring inspire you to scrap???
