Dissecting Design
After I complete my Design Team projects each month it seems I still have lots of great leftovers from each kit and sometimes they get put into a box, sometimes I give them away, and sometimes they sit out on my desk til the next project comes to mind. So today I thought I would share how I created one of the post Design Team reveal projects using the November Navy Pier & L kits i left sitting on my table.
This Hello Just Because card was created quick like 20 minutes quick(why couldn’t all projects get done that quick?).
I usually start with a little bit of an idea what to create, I pick what supplies I’m going to use then it all goes crazy after that because usually nothing ever goes as planned and it ALWAYS turns out different from what I thought. This is the pile I started with(see I told totally different then what I used in the end).
I started by cutting and layering pattern paper. Then everything looks better with a pretty ribbon and bow right? YES
Time for the sentiment I love the American Crafts stickers that were in the L kit(sorry it’s sold out) and wanted to use them on this card. I didn’t want it to all be flat so I added pop dots to the Hello sticker.
added a pretty flower sticker from that same American Crafts sticker sheet and another pop of color with that yellow pattern paper.

once I had the “front” finished I adhere to the card base.Yes I am a backwards card maker I usually always create my front then adhere it to the card base.
The finished card.

So what do you do with all those leftovers?
