Tips and Tricks: Embossing Powder Storage
I love the texture and depth that embossing powder can add to my stamped images but I don’t love the mess it can make sometimes. I have one of those little trays with the funnel so you can emboss over it and then dump the embossing powder back into its jar, but I got frustrated when I was using multiple embossing powder colors and I kept having to wash the tray out between colors. So I came up with this solution, a stack of inexpensive plastic food storage containers:
I used the Glad brand, which you can get at Target or even most grocery stores. These containers stack nice so they are easy to store, they are also see thru, but a label never hurts
Now when I am going to emboss I can just hold my image right over the container, sprinkle on the embossing powder; no mess, no fuss and I can switch back and forth between colors in a snap!
Hope you found this little tip useful.

I do this with my clear embossing powder, but I keep my other colors in their jars. I just don’t use them enough to justify them having their own embossing container. I use the clear a lot though and having it in the larger container with a spoon is very helpful. Plus there is less mess on my table afterwards. I hate that sandy feeling when the powder gets loose and runs amock on my table. YUCK!
Really great tip! I HATE trying to get EP back into those little jars!
