Hello Cocoa Daisy Fans! Alissa here with a little tip on how I organize my kits each month when they arrive. This is a new process for me and I thought I’d share with you all and, maybe, you will be inspired to get your kits out and use them up, too.
Let me give you a little background, I usually get all of the add ons each month. I just can’t resist. And, in the past I have tried to keep them all together in each of the bags they come in in my brown shipping box while I scrap for the gallery. Sometimes, I would move each kit to a clear bag, from the brown bags for a little easier view.
Well, needless to say, that is not an efficient way to scrap and I would always forget about something I really wanted to use and was disappointed when I find it later in my brown box.
Last month I was in my local drugstore and I saw this baby for a really great price.
Large Caddy. Probably intended for some bathroom supplies or cleaning supplies. Well, not for me. That width of 14.75 in told me that my 12×12 paper would fit nicely without any curling. And, at such a great price (something like $10) how could I not give it a try?
Here’s the full front view. Cool, right? I can unload my brown box and see everything. All right at my fingertips and ready to port from one room to another or to a friend’s house or to a crop.
Look at all the stuff it can hold! All of the kits and, if i was going somewhere else to crop, I have plenty of room to add my other supplies, like ink, trimmer, adhesive, scissors, etc.
The front left section.
And, the front right.
My plan is to leave all I have left in there until the next month’s kit arrives. This way, it’s all right at my fingertips and I will use more of it up. When the next box arrives, I bag everything up in a clear snap pouch and I label it with the month and year of the kit.
There you have it! My tip for the day on monthly kit organization to help me use up more of the stuff I love.
Let me know what you think!
Have an awesome day!
