One More – October Kit (Farmer’s Market)

Were you one of the lucky ones to get an October kit??
So many gorgeous papers and goodies
and the stamps… oh my!!!
I always feel a little sad when I have to pack up a kit and get ready to play with the new one
So I took the chance, while waiting for my November kit, to create 1 more layout

this page is documenting a favourite saying of your 6 year old
She says “I DON’T KNOW” often and it makes me smile
The other night she got up, after a bad dream, and while we were having a cuddle she said I don’t know
and when I asked what she didn’t know she said I don’t know what I don’t know
That just made me giggle
Which made her giggle
and all the next day she would just say it so I would giggle

I love the Jillibean corrugated alphas
I love that you can be rough as guts and still make them look cool!

On this page I added some cream paint to the corrugations
Adhered them with paint
Doodled around each letter and then distressed each letter
Trying to reveal a lighter tone under each layer.

Glad I got to play with the October kit because my November kit arrived yesterday and OH MY! You are going to love it! I know I do!

One More: Breaking News

Hello everyone.  I had a chance to play with my September kit  along with Breaking News add-on the other day.  I love the colors & feel of this kit.  I couldn’t resist using some Maya Mists and a Crafter’s Workshop Stencil on my background.  The lush green paper found in Breaking News is a perfect combination for my photos.  I used a black pen to outline the butterflies and to ink in the chipboard letters.  Black stitching grounds the whole layout.  I know your kits are heading your way.  I cannot wait to see your creations with Printer’s Drawer!

More Letter Fun

The Urban Loft Kit is really my favorite so far…ok ok….till the next one I guess ;) LOL- but here is another layout I created with the kit.

For the background I used some gesso and brushed it onto the paper and then after it dried I took the Basic Grey Alphabeth in the main kit and carefully took off the left over Spacing. I place it on the background loosley – so it sticked a bit but not too much and then I sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Chalkboard Glimmer Mist. I patted it with a paper towel and then lift the letters off again.

For the smiley face I used Sassafras Kraft in-a-stitch blossoms, took off the button – placed it ont he star and cut the blossom apart ….nice hair, huh :) ?

And of course I had ot use the awesome Jenni Bowlin Torn Paper stamp on the border again – I just love this stamp.

I think this is a good background for the photo of my godson holding a little surprise we crafted for his little brother’s first schoolday coming up .

Have a wonderful summer day :)

more with the July kit

I can’t keep my hands off this kit! I just added two more layouts to my gallery.

No pictures on this one, just a list of facts about me, at the moment. I like to put layouts like this in my albums periodically, so I can remember where I was and what I was up to at different stages of my life. I added the glittery ribbon because it was 50% off at Michael’s and I couldn’t resist it! I stuck a bunch of pretty pins into it – I love the pins that came with this kit!

Then I scrapped these pictures of the chalkboard in my classroom on the last day of school. I had a really good school year and I wanted to remember it!

This kit might be in my top ten favorites! You guys are going to LOVE it!

Happy Scrapping!

Anja
