Gallery Spotting And A Lift

Hi everyone,
Sharmaine here with a walk through the Cocoa Daisy galleries.
The thing you notice, as you browse, is the amazingness of each page.
So many cool pages, so many amazing stories.
Sherry’s “Seasons” page uses the “Forecast” kit wonderfully well and I love her use of the Jillibean Soup frames.

Love this page by Curlywiggles. Love how she’s used the pattern papers and love that she pulled out a pen and used that on the page

Loving the stamp work on this cute page by Gretehw

And I found some fun pages that made me smile.
First this one from Marti

And this cool page by TerryB

I know Asil’s page “Choose Happy” has been “spotted” before
But I just loved the simple design and white space so I chose to use this as the inspiration for my lift.

And here is my take, using pieces from the May kits

I enjoyed my stroll through the gallery with you today.
Thanks Asil for the inspiration to create and thank you to everyone who uploads their work to the gallery.

Gallery spotting and a lift

It is always so inspiring to browse the Cocoa Daisy gallery and I truly enjoyed picking some of my recent favourites for this blog post!

I immediately fell in love with this layout from Ami, using the March kit! I love the layers, the twine and the tilted paper! Check out the rest of Ami’s  gallery and her blog.

I also love this layout from Sherry – such a wonderful idea to save some of the petals from the bouquet in the envelope! They look so beautiful and I think I spot some of the sequins too! Check out Sherry’s gallery and her blog.

This design by Asil is soooo wonderful! I also love the soft colours so much. Don’t miss the rest of Asil’s gallery and her blog!

The layout I chose for my lift was made by Amber, using the February kit. It’s such an explosion of colour that really inspired me! Amber’s colourful gallery is found here.

Here is what I came up with, using the April kit.

I hope you enjoyed this fabulous inspiration from the Cocoa Daisy gallery!

Gallery Spotting & A Lift

As design team members, we love nothing more than supporting those that share their work in the Cocoa Daisy galleries. I went poking through there a few weeks ago for some inspiration and found these beauties!

Amber-CDlift-3.8.13

Love this one from Amber. I was drawn to the feathers stamped up the side and the all-across-the-bottom layering.

elinakou-CDlift-3.8.13

This one from elinakou drew me in with her down-the-side layers as well. Simple and so much to look at all at once!

Nzingha-CDlift-3.8.13

Nzingha inspired me with her centered photo and great clustering around it. I love the drops of mist and the layering at the edges with strips of accent papers.

With all of those amazing works in mind, I set out to create this layout. I used the mist drops and paper-edge layering strips. I also concentrated all of my pictures and layering in one long strip down one side of the page.

I really like how this turned out! This moment called for a lot of journaling, too, so I added that element in, though it wasn’t conveyed in any of the inspiration pages.

Thanks for stopping to see these gallery inspirations and how they inspired me!

gallery spotting and a lift…

Hello all! Alissa here to bring you some layouts I have spotted in the gallery.

I just love the look of a big banner on a page and I found a few great examples and even spent a little time lifting one of them to share with you all.

I love the look of the big banner piece on the right side of this 2 page layout. It’s so cool!

I love how Lori incorporated the big banner piece on this art journal page for her December art journal everyday book. this, too, is so cool!

And finally, the one I decided to scrap lift.

I loved that the big banner is layered and the photo mat.

Gallery Spoting and a lift!

Hi, guys!  Mandie here with my first post for the Cocoa Daisy blog.  I spent some time going through the gallery and had a hard time choosing just a few!  So here goes!

I loved the simplicity of this layout from Margrethe.  I thought the arrow paper was so fun and worked so well for the topic!

Margrethe

The second layout I chose was from Kristined.  I loved the bright, fun colors she used.  And I loved the pie chart and the products!

Kristend

the 3rd layout I chose is from Christap.  Again, I loved it for the bright colors and product she used.  (Are you beginning to feel out the kind of colors I am drawn to?  LOL!)

Christa

The layout I chose to lift comes to us from Nzingha.  I loved, again, the simple design and color scheme she used.  It looked like a layout that, while easily replicated, could pack a big punch!  I love how she framed the circle photo. Very clever!

Nzingha

Here is my lift.  While I loved her circle (A LOT!), I wanted to use this fun square grid print I had ordered from Postal Pix.   So, my design was a little wider.  (the grid print is 6×6).  Without even realizing it, I even used some of the same papers!  (That Midway line is adorable!)

Thank you all for all of the lovely inspiration in the gallery.  I hope this inspires you to do a lift of your own! Post them in the gallery, and let us see!!!
