First of all, thank you for the FANTASTIC response to the challenge! I wanted to highlight the runners-up, but there were too many to post! I loved seeing all of your work and am very thankful you took some time to play along.
The winner of this challenge is Marti Richards! Marti, thanks for sharing your talent with us, and make sure to contact Lisa for your gift certificate!
Thanks again, Daisies! We love seeing what you make!
It’s time for another challenge! This time around, we are going to focus on a few simple elements: subject, color and title.
For the subject, pick something you’re loving lately. For me, this was clementines. We have been eating them non-stop since the fall, and I can’t seem to get enough of them.
For the color, pick one color and go with it. My color here was orange. I love it and I use it all the time!
For the title, finish the thought, “Hello ________.” Here, I titled my layout “Hello Cutie!”
You have until Tuesday, April 30th at 10pm EST to upload your layout to the gallery and leave your link here. The winner will be announced on Thursday, May 2nd and that lucky scrapper will win a $10 coupon to spend in the Daisy Boutique!
Today’s Daisy Devotion is our sweet and talented Margrethe. I have been a fan of her for quite some time…and I find myself over and over again, seeing layouts I LOVE, only to see that they are hers. I love her layering and use of color, and her titles and variety of layouts.
Not only is Margrethe talented in the way of scrapping, she’s a fantastic photographer, too. Here are a few of her pages that I’m swooning over lately:
Hey everybody! It’s Wednesday already! Who knew these weeks would go by so fast? Today I’m here with a few photos of my scraproom.
I scrap on a vintage Broyhill Brasilia table that my mom found for me at an antique sale. I’m hoping that one day, I’ll put it to good use in an actual dining room.
All of my tools live in these handy dandy carousels. I just bought one the other day to hold my larger tools like my ATC, rulers and a few often-used stamps.
Behind my chair is my paper collection. Paper is broken up by manufacturer in silver metal bins. The basket in the middle is where my Thickers and other letter stickers live.
I finally found a way to organize my mists that doesn’t drive me crazy! Enter: old Coke crate with sections. Perfect for holding 3-4 mists each, and maybe a few more bits and pieces.
I have a little shelf where I have my inspiration hanger and my insane collection of twine.
My Clip-It-Up holds some of my older products that I just can’t seem to get rid of.
I took a few more photos, but in the end, they showed my lack of organization and I just didn’t feel like embarrassing myself today. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into my crafty space!
We have a winner! Savi impressed us with her color combo and photos. I loved her simple journaling, titling and her addition of monochromatic paper and embellishments.
To everyone who played along–thank you! We love seeing your galleries.
And to our winner, please contact Lisa for your prize!
