Thanks to everyone who played along & submitted their fabulous entires.
Remember to watch the challenge forum on the message board for the details of the September challenge!
Interpret it however you see the theme. There is something so great about a happy concoction of photos, or patterned papers, accents or all of the above.
I found some super inspiration to get your creative juices going’.
Using the August kit, I have put together this page. I love the idea of capturing an event with a group of photos supported by embellishments as opposed to the other way around.

Looking for a quick gift for a teacher, a love gift for your man, a little something from Granma’s purse? I have the perfect little ‘something’ that will take you no more than 10 minutes to throw together.
A match-book style mini book. This one, using Echo Park goodies from the July kit, Note to Self; I made for my daughter. I snuck it into her bag before going on hockey camp
Grab the sheet of this great Echo Park 12 x12 paper tags.
Cut the sheet into as many tags as you need for your mini book.
Sew a couple of them into pockets for notes, tags, memorabilia.
Cut a 12″ strip of patterned paper as wide as your tags & fold the one side over the edge of the tags like a match book.
Staple through the fold & tag layers to secure. Fold over the long flap to cover front of tags.
Trim away excess paper, allowing a tiny bit extra to slip under stapled flap edge. Now decorate cove & fill with sentiments, photos & paper love.

1) Ink your stamp up & position on your heavy cardstock. The CD online store carries neutral colored cardstock for times such as this See here.I like to stamp onto a thick foam square for best ink coverage. Psst: notice my 3×6″ acrylic stamping block? I love that jolly thing. It makes positioning so much easier. There are a few left in the store if you want to grab one. See here.
2.) Sprinkle stamped image liberally with Zing! embossing powder. So not be concerned that the powder looks dark. It lightens up with heating.
3.) Now grab yourself a few of the cute little wooden transport shapes from the kit & press well into the stamp pad, until well covered.
4.) Carefully heat the embossing powder. I strongly suggest you used tweezers to hold the little shape, lest you lose skin.
This is the finished result: Silver metallic stamped circle accent.
I must be psychic because can see this silver embossing powder being used for all sorts thingies in my near future.
Glad you stopped by & have a great weekend!
Lately being ruthlessly purging in my scrap-room, I have found I have collected tons of partially used sticker sheets. So for this blog post I have set myself a challenge, to use up an entire pack of stickers on a single page.
I am focusing on the October Afternoon 9 to 5 Little Flyers sticker pack from the July Cocoa Daisy Kit.
Giving my page some thought, I had an idea…what about making the Little Flyer’s into a banner accent? It is a great way to use up more stickers than usual.
See below how easy it is to make a couple of pennant strings from one pack.
Once added to a page, they great interest without dominating the page design.

So be ruthless, use up those stickers (then you’ll have room for more
Happy scrapping!
